The CCCT consults with the advisory bodies described below in order to enhance NCI’s clinical trials and translational research enterprises.

Clinical Trials and Translational Research Advisory Committee (CTAC)

The CTAC is a federally chartered advisory committee that advises NCI leadership on ways to strengthen NCI’s clinical and translational research enterprises. The CTAC is composed of leading authorities across the entire continuum of cancer research, prevention, and treatment.  It advises NCI leadership on matters related to its clinical trials enterprise and ways to build strong scientific infrastructures that engage a broad coalition of stakeholders involved in the clinical trials and translational research processes. The CCCT staff coordinates CTAC operations and its Director serves as CTAC’s Executive Secretary.

For information on CTAC’s membership, charter, function statement, meeting schedule, agendas, and meeting summaries, please visit the CTAC web site.

Clinical and Translational Research Operations Committee (CTROC)

The CTROC is an internal NCI advisory committee composed of representatives from NCI Divisions, Offices, and Centers involved in NCI-supported clinical trials and translational research.  It provides strategic oversight for NCI clinical trials and translational research programs and infrastructures, including informatics.  The Committee reviews and prioritizes clinical trials and translational research programs proposed by Divisions, Centers, and Offices to coordinate efforts Institute-wide.  The CCCT staff coordinates CTROC operations.
